Week Two of the Fit and Fabulous Fall Challenge!

Wow, it's been a week already! Today marks the first day of the second week of the Fit and Fabulous Fall Challenge!

I don't know about anyone else, but my weigh-in today was really disappointing. Actually, let me rephrase that - I hope everyone else had a better weigh-in than I did today!
That means 0 pounds lost. At least it's not a gain I guess. According to my last weigh-in, though, my body fat percentage did go down. That's a good thing.

Anyways, this week's mini challenge is to try a new healthy food or recipe. I hope everyone gives it a shot, it'll be fun to try something different. I haven't decided what I'm going to make yet, but I'm going to try to make it fun and interesting.

Speaking of the mini challenges, it was nice to see so many people write words of encouragement on everyone's blogs! I still haven't gotten around to commenting on the first official weigh-ins, but I'll do it. I was super busy this week and even though I had time to write some quick posts of my own and read most of those I follow, I didn't get to commenting on too many. I usually comment in bed at night right before I go to sleep, but I've been so tired lately I just didn't take the time. It takes forever to post comments because I do it on my iPhone, and I have a really hard time with those stupid things where you have to type in numbers and letters to prove you're not a robot. I usually have to go through at least two of them before I get them right. A part of the problem is that iPhones have autocorrect, so I'll type in what I see and then right when I hit the button it corrects it to some other word. It's so agitating.

I'm pretty bummed because it's raining today. I was planning on a nice long bike ride to cross train my running this morning, but that's out of the question now. So I ran on the treadmill instead. Not bad, I did that same app again where you do a 5 minute warm-up, cool down and intervals of 4 minutes run/1 minute walk. I did a shorter one and only did 50 minutes but it took me to 4 miles.

Well I can't wait to see everyone's weigh-ins today! I hope everyone is doing well on their progress!! Good luck! :) Have a great week!

I hear you on those dang codes!! The funny part is I just typed on in over on another blog and had so many issues getting it right! I hear you on the weather too. It's been a dreary rainy day today :(

Great job on getting in 4 miles!! That is totally awesome!! Good luck with the week ahead!!

Don't know about you, but for me, exercise is great for tone, but ALMOST MATTERS NOT AT ALL as far as weight loss goes. I've been awesome about working out at points in my life, and if I didn't watch my diet, I actually would just gain weight. It's a bummer if you're better at exercise than you are at diet, though :-( My brother in law does a lot of bariatric surgery (because he's a surgeon) and he says a lot of docs recommend NOT working out for women, because it makes you so much hungrier and it's harder to lose weight. Not to be super depressing or anything. :-) Have a great week, here's my check in! www.anexerciseinspinningyarn.blogspot.com/2012/09/one-week-of-fall-fit-challenge-completed.html

My iPhone does the same thing, which is why I try to avoid commenting unless I'm at home/work. And usually at home I just don't feel like looking at a computer, so I just wait till I get to work. But then I get busy...

No weigh-in for me, though I am going to the doctor today so it's like a forced weigh-in. Hah! I'm tempted to just cover my ears and close my eyes just so I don't have to see it yet.
